Vision Board: New Year, Clearer Vision

Well, we made it! 2022 is here. As every year or every couple of years, it's time for a new and refreshed vision board. I’ve had the same vision board for about the past 3 years and I’m in need of an updated one.

Now don’t get me wrong, from 2019-2021 was an amazing few years for me. I’ve accomplished so much over these past three years and I couldn’t be more proud of myself.

However, now as I get ready for my 32nd bday next month I’ve become more clearer of the purpose that God has for my life. Nowadays, I'm all about simplifying and making things easier to manage; that is what's important to me at this stage in my life.

So I found this video on YouTube that helped me simplify this year's vision board and I wanted to share it with you guys to help you with your vision board to be more simplified and not so broad.

It was a lot of fun designing the new board and putting it together. It was definitely hard to simplify things that were important to what I really wanted to do personally and not so broad as I use to do. I used https://rasterbator.net to print out the board in poster size. It’s free to do it where you can print the layout on any printer (just keep in mind it uses a bit of ink depending on how big you want it to be, so you may have to get some more ink cartridges after you finish printing your board).

New Vision Board:

Old Vision Board:

I couldn’t be happier with my refreshed board for this new year. For the most part, everything is set for this year except for my dream house which is about 10 years out, my dream car which is about 7 years out, and lastly, my dog is about 3 years out.

What I’ve learned about vision boards is they work best when you have them in places where you can see them on a daily basis. I have the printed copy in my home office. I also have a digital version on my phone and computers; Keeping it in the forefront of my mind where I can always keep the vision for the year and beyond present while I continue to strive to make them come true one by one.

BONUS!

As a bonus to working in your purpose, fulfilling your dreams, and things you want to achieve on your vision board, I saw this video from Oprah about what do you want out of life and who were you meant to be. It's such a powerful short video that I will suggest you take notes on.

Take away prompts & notes:

What do you really want?

What are you craving in your life?

Are you fulfilled in your career?

Do you want to be happier with yourself?

Do you need to get out of a relationship?

Do you need to bring more joy to other people?

  • Really sit down and dive deep within yourself to answer these prompts for yourself.

Proverbs 29:18:

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”

  • Basically saying where there is no vision it's hard to move forward.

Ask yourself:

  1. What gives my life meaning?

  2. What kind of person do I want to be?

When you feel out of alignment, get center, get still, and ask yourself what will that person I want to be doing right now at this moment?

  • As you reflect on that, go back and focus on the question you will then see glimpses of the path you’re destined for.

What will your future self be doing to live your best life? You do that by choosing the life you want.

I pray this inspires you to take action and start the new year off right with new intentions, goals, and a mindset that you need to maximize this new year. We’re on this journey together to becoming the best version of ourselves and I cant wait to see the amazing things God does in your life this year.

Be sure you’re subscribed to my emailing list to get all the updates FIRST when I have a new blog or new info to tell you guys before the rest of social media get it.

I love you guys and thank you so much for joining this journey with me. Remember, No matter the opinions of others or the adversity you may face in life; ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF BECAUSE I KNOW I BELIEVE IN YOU.

Take Care,

Artavius Veasey
